Location and accessibility

The hotel is located in a pleasant nature area not far from the town of Benešov and in the immediate vicinity of Konopiště Castle. It is 45km away from Prague. Upon arriving from Prague or Brno on the D1 motorway, turn off at Mirošovice (Exit 21) in the direction Tábor – České Budějovice. The GC Konopiště golf course is five kilometers away from the hotel. Nature lovers can look forward to excursions in the surrounding region – to Slapy Dam or Mt. Blaník, Jemniště chateau, Český Šternberk castle or Sázavský Monastery. To get to Konopiště Castle, just go through the castle park – it’s only ten minutes away.

Konopiště Castle

Konopiště Castle was founded at the end of the 13th century by Bishop Tobiáš z Benešova. It was conceived as a Gothic fortress inspired by French churches.

Český Šternberk

An early Gothic castle which was established just before the mid-12th century. The descendants of the castle’s founded later came to be called the lords of Šternberk. In 1467, soldiers of King Jiří z Poděbrad conquered Český Šternberk. Later, the ruined castle was returned to the lords of Šternberk, who expanded it in an extensive process of renovation, adding formidable fortifications. The last major modifications were carried out in the second half of the 17th century and again after the year 1712.
